Divine light movement charitable trust

DLMCT was started on 2010 by Rev.V.Vedanayagam & Salomi Vedanayagam. Both of them has the spirit of same Vision and Mission in bringing the transformation in the lives of children from 2000 onwards involving in various children programme like conducting free tuition’s, forming children clubs, giving awareness on children issues. So far 15 children clubs were formed in Thiruvalluvar and Chennai district. They trained more than 500 Child development teachers to give training to the children during Summer Vacation.

Apart from that we are involving into the community development programs also, like awareness on various communicable diseases, Malnutrition, Child marriage, Women Empowerment and Employment.

Our main project of Divine light movement charitable trust (NGO) proudly running a children home called Greater Love Children Home. GLC was started in the year 2011. The home was initially started with 5 children in a rented house at ayanavaram, Chennai. We have children of our home that takes of 17 poor and needy children. The holistic care facilities specially for whom no one is there in family to support financially. We have been running this children home for past 7 Years by providing food, shelter, education and other amenities.

Greater Love Children Home mainly focused on Holistic Child Development model, we have taken children from various areas in and around the district who really need basic needs to live. Past 8 years we are taken almost 35 children and provide education, shelter, food, Health facilities, Vocational training, Relationship management and Behavior modification for them. We can assure each child come out of from our home, He will be a responsible and dedicated individual in this society. So that many social activists and Professional Social Workers all over Tamil nadu refer children to our home. Mainly we focused our home children parents are very illiterate and economically backward, so we make various efficient schemes and model for them to take them to next level of their life.

To empower, rehabilitate & to uplift lives, especially the poorer of the poor by providing quality services through education training, skill development, medical, social & spiritual activities.

Future plan:

To have a place of our own with good infrastructure to run the orphanage.
To start a vocational skill training center to achieve stable & steady progress of the children & Women
